I'm really happy atm but I got to study and and ... I sort of can't think at the moment ... or more like i cant really think straight atm XD

The day finally arrives with me finishing my remake of Suiseiseki (Rozen Maiden) at 2am in the morning and although it was completeted late I do admit myself though it sounds so very vain that it was made of win and I was increasingly more happy by the compliments I got from it considering that the sleeve and skirt fabric were slightly different shades of dark green, the lace edging the sleeves was different from the lace edging the skirt, the collar and head piece as well as sleeves were taken from last years cosplay, the white sleeves I attached to the premade sleeves were crappily hemmed and kept together by pins I bought just before entering the convention and my petticoat was quite half-assedly made with me using a running stitch to attach the tulle to the fabric and keeping it secure with half a dozen safety pins. LOL i didnt even bother sewing the pieces of tulles together being too tired and resorting to using safety pins

So advice for everyone

SAFETY PINS ARE YOUR F***ING BEST FRIENDS NO MATTER WHAT (unless they poke you but *shrugs* meh)

So the time finally arrives ... I get up at 5am as planned and work on my cosplay for Sunday a litte (which had very little done to it ... you'll see how long it took me in the next post LOL) and I set my alarms (5 of them) on my handphone for 7am 5 minutes apart and place it in my mates room since I'm living with my mate for the period of Armageddon

A slightly mad scramble in the morning doing make up putting on cosplays, trying to make my hair less frizzy (didnt really work XP) and we were out the door by 10am and unsurprisingly (DUH!!) we attracted some stares ... me more so since I was in full victorian regalia (Suiseiseki ftw DESU~!) and my mate was cosplaying Kyoko from Reborn! so school girl a very cute one at that ...

and although we both had full intentions of organizing practice for the dances for the next day ... nothing really happened other than fun, screaming, fangirling, "raping", camwhoring, posing, screaming more, hugging people, fangirling more and in general ... being ... noisy =D

and more complete update will be made tomorrow =D including Sunday's post since I has no internetz atm

lol the adrenaline from this afternoon still hasnt worn off and its 11.17pm XD

I recently *erm* acquired Gokusen Season 3 and as usual I can't resist watching it even if I don't particularly like the new class and the storyline is so similar to Season 2 that's it's nearly the same.

1. One of the main students Ogata Yamato ... he looks so much alike a girl that he could be mistaken for one but ... an ugly one ... and then I saw a picture of him on wiki and I was like

"WHY???? HE'S SO GOOD-LOOKING" *shrugs* oh well ... i think it's the hairstyle and tanning but meh oh well

I do like the insert song "oretachi no seishun" that he does and I'm not surprised he's not in a band his voice is actually pretty good =3

His character is DEFINATELY like Odagiri Ryu in the 2nd season although the situation has changed his character is still obviously the same ... i.e. cool but reliable and doesnt get side-tracked easily when it comes to his mate(ep 4)

2. Kazama Ren ... he's pretty good looking ... but HIS HAIRSTYLE ... OMG it pissed me off so much when i first saw it ... it made me want to shave him bald ... but then I decided he'd look worse bald so I settled for just chopping of that blond bits of the fringe ... but honestly when I saw him running in the 2nd episode and the blond part was flapping in the wind i inadvertenly laughed out loud eventhough it was a serious part XD

And after ep 4 I definately think that Ren is the Hayato in this season =3 and I like his name as well =D Ren is an awesome name =D

I still think that the other 4 are pretty good looking =3 ... and Kuraki's Osaka ben is enchanting as usual XD i like osaka ben its so awesome XD ... and episode 4 was still pretty good to move me to tears ... not that its very difficult but =D it was pretty good i think ... though its like a repeat of Uchiyama's problem in the first season and Hayato's problem in the 2nd season.

I also recognise one of the guys in 3D who was also in Nobuta o Produce (the one with the super spiky hair and guitar) was the one who went on a date with Nobuta in Nobuta o Produce.

As usual Nakama Yukie is beautiful and has a good impact the fighting scenes have gotten slightly better but still are really lame XD and she's still as dorky as ever =D and the ending is kankerri again =D

The head teacher Sawatari is funny and provides "tsukkomi" to Yankumi =D

I like the ending as well Aqua Timez =D Niji =D

And looking at the ratings compared to the first season are pretty good and moving onto episode 5 honjo's parent problem is sort of like Kumai's but the situation has changed is all but the base problem is the same =3

All in all after watching all seasons although I can pretty much expect what the ending to be I still enjoy it =D

as for Yankumi' love interest ... i don't like him as much as Shinohara-sensei but he's ok i guess =3

but anyways the mini-album Mada Minu Ashita ni can't wait ... and the song Mustang is such an awesome song and as usual I don't understand their PV's because they're so random ... but the song is so peaceful that you could just get the meaning somehow XD

mmm it's been a while since i last posted hasn't it ... mmm >X3

i've been so busy with moving, uni, getting a new part time job ... and my legs and arms ache now =3 i think i went too hard yesterday at naginata but whatever most likely not most probably because i'm unfit XP but whatever

nothing much is happening at the moment except for the same old same old ... trying to study as much as possible and to bring my lunch as well though i fail today because i was late and the next bus outside my place only comes in an hour

i have 8am classes EVERYDAY so *dies* yep i have to wake up at 5am to catch the 6am bus outside my house ... i could wake up later and walk to Titirangi Rd but i'm too lazy ... so you can see where my priorities lie. Sedentary motion over sleep ^w^ =3=

but i still have to walk since the bus only stops in Albert St in the city so i have to walk up Wellesley St ... steep hill geh =p= ...
and the location of the law faculty is absolutely awesome eventhough it's close to GNC it's at the bottom of a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY steep hill yeah you get the point whatever

but luckily this year no classes there they both in the Library

mmm hoping i get the part-time job as a tutor in New Lynn ^^ tutoring experience

tutoring = good money >=3

i didn't get the job at McD ... the interview i arrived late for because I was slack but it apparently didn't matter anyways XD ... because of availability problems geh my schedule for this year is terrible

next semester is even better because it's spread out all over the day ... geh *falls over and dies* well at least i get lunch hour hahahahaha

got to try and finish the lab report for CHEM 220 ASAP or it'll be rushed ... and i still got some cosplays to finish as well buy some black lace

I am seriously in lack of money hopefully I will get a job within this or week ... rent payments due in two weeks TTwTT or i might have to siphon some from my parents

Today I got a new laptop and spectacles.

Although I completely missed the fact that there was no inbuilt camera but that matters little to me considering I don't keep in contact with any people from overseas except for two friends who are exceptionally busy *tears*

Either way getting 2GB RAM and 160GB memory is pretty decent for RM 2699. Unfortunately Pongo wasn't online so I couldn't boast >X3

I also got a free mouse (it's really flash ... literally lol it lights up with purple blue and red ... I don't think I'm going to use it anytime soon at uni ... it's just too flash lol X3), 1GB pen drive and headphone x mic.

My new spectacles are swatch and my first pair which I'm supposed to wear when I drive at night but I wear them as well when I use the computer. It relaxes my eyes =3.

And I leave for NZ in one week ... my cosplay making schedule has gone out the window and I have my driving test 2 days before I leave XP

yeah I suck at carrying out plans. I do plan. I really do but it always goes out the window X3.

apparently Shou-kun's golden hotpants (i shall call them this because they are honestly really skin-tight) were also worn by Ruki but moving on I quite literally laughed out loud when I saw him prancing around the screen in them ... I mean the golden pants were bad enough but to pair them with black flat boots and tucked into them as well ... is ...

let me say this before I get mauled by die hard Shou-kun fans ...

as much as I love Shou and alice nine. gold pants tucked into black boots should only be worn by females who can pull the look off ... which is very few ... even if it's worn by a very good-looking bishonen boy I still say it looks horrible ...

quite honestly whoever invented the golden hotpants must of been insane >=3

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME XP

I still have several cosplays to work through, possible selection of cotton prints for a possible yukata project (though this is highly unlikely because I will be a first year law student and 2nd year chemistry major XP ).

So what have got?

1. Suiseiseki - GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH *claws face and pulls hair* I made the exact same mistake as I did when I was first making the dress part so I have to redo it XP (There's a high probability that there will be a Rozen Maiden group this year at Auckgeddon (Auckland Armageddon). So now I have to buy more fabric (KYAAAAAAAH I hope I can find an exact match XP) and more green thread XP

The most annoying part will be detacing and reusing the lace, because unfortunately this time it has been attached by sewing machine sooooo more work to remove it >XP.

I also plan to attach some white fabric inside for the shirt and sleeves so I won't have to wear another layer and I attach the frills.

Also thinking to redo the collar since it looks a little odd ... but we'll see if I have enough white fabric after I'm done with Lucky Star *crosses fingers hoping* lol

And I need to make an adequate petticoat out of the ughBRIGHTneonishpinkugh fabric I so stupidly bought while confusing the colours for the summer uniform for Lucky Star. I swear sometimes I think I'm colour blind, it amazes how I passed the colour blindness test for driving *rolls eyes*. As long as that ughbrightugh petticoat doesn't rear it's ugly head I should be fine >=).

2. Kusajishi Yachiru - All OK desu. LOL This will be worn to Doujin Overload ... most probably I think. Depends if neko_assassin still wants to do the Gin dance from BLEACH Saien Musical XD. Just need the wig and to make the tabi, sandals and sheathed zanpaktou (don't know when I'll get to it, but most definately try to get to it before I leave, even if it's the night before I WILL FINISH THIS lol XD) I need a hot glue gun, that would make it so much easier >=D, must check the price in Jusco.

Will try to make another hakama because the stitching is all iffy on the first one XP but don't think I will have time T.T

3. School Rumble (夏の制服 - Summer uniform) - I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to redo the brown lining, it was a mistake to sew it together before sewing it to the vest XP. Taking the lining off will be a pain but we'll see.

The skirt must be reironed ... I quite frankly HATE sewing pleats, they are so annoying, but that was due to my misstep and i didn't fold and rehem the bottom, as my mum pointed out some weeks after I finished making it that it would fray when i wash it, which was proved since I took apart my Suiseiseki cosplay which I had washed by hand after disasterously spilled rootbeer on at Auckgeddon (I'm a klutz XD)

(冬の制服 - Winter Uniform) - If I have time this will take higher priority over making another hakama. Why? Because I can wear it again and again without getting weird looks (not that I mind lol =D). But I have to make this from scratch, soooooo we'll see what happens ...

4. Lucky Star セーラー服 夏と冬(Sailor Uniform) - Quite honestly this one drives me up the wall. It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to sew the sailor collar to the top >X[. But I finally managaed to find some sort of pattern for it, or rather a how-to guide. So I have finally started on it, cutting out the shape of the shirt, then I got distracted and ended up doing the pleated skirt, which I am quite pleased with. I did not fancy sewing 6 metres of ribbon (2 lines) to 3 metres of fabric by hand. Thankfully when I sewed it on it didnt look too bad though I still need to work on sewing straight >=].

So hopefully by the end of this week I'll have finished both skirts, I just need to find the zips.

These pleated skirts are easier because I can pleat them bigger so less work lol, though it still does take me a good 1 - 2 hours just to hem, iron, fold and rehem (no serger T.T), reiron, sew ribbon, reiron, pleat, iron, sew, finish stray thread. That's not including fitting, attaching the top strip, attaching buttons/hooks, sewing on the zip and hemming the joint. But quite honesty I'm ranting so bear with me.

Sometimes I wonder why it's so hard to find things in Malaysia. I mean I know Kamdar is a texile store but you'd think they sell thread, buttons and zips. But they don't or maybe I'm too used to Spotlight in NZ where they have everything in one big store, though I won't say anything about the price lol.

But seriously charging $1.50 for a simple plain black button is asking for too much (Something textiles ... it's in Newmarket behind Westfield 277). Thank god for Geoff's Emporium where they sell each for like 10cents.

5. Hanajima Saki - A last minute addition XD. Because there will be a Fruits Basket group at Auckgeddon. I finished the main part, just need to make/buy the long black skirt, shape the neck, shape the body, fly back to NZ, get simple black cheap lacey fabric and sew that on. Hopefully I can use Duckeh's sewing machine XD it'd make this so much easier >=D.

6. Punk Lolita (-esque) lol - Almost finished. I need to attach a hook and kill the person who invented snap buttons lol. So annoying spent half the day putting them back together. But because it was (thankfully) the right size the zip kept it up and noone saw by black pantyhose. Believe me, if you try to play ParaPara in this dress you will wonder half the time whether your dress is still up on your hips or not >=D.

The plaid(gingham, checks, whatchamacallit) I got was a cotton/polyester mix, so I guess it frays more than usual. The hem needs to be redone and I need to do something about the seem otherwise it'll split when everything frays away ...

G**D*** I WISH I HAD A SERGER ... or at least a sewing machine with that function, it'd make life SOOOOOO much easier, but I figure they're expensive and I won't use it very often anyways XP

Anyways back to topic XD

7. Yukata? - Highly unlikely this year since I will be really busy, but if I'm lucky, and if Duckeh has enough spare time, we might make it in time for the Japan Festival lol. But I'm not counting on it since she starts NCEA this year. We'll see what happens lol XD. Need to compare prices on the cotton prints XP. They are somewhat pricey here especially the Japanese cotton prints, about RM12.90 per meter (but they're so nice and soft =D).

BTW the song is Zessei Bijin (Unparalleled Beauty) the ending to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Because I have to plan ahead for this year (haha plan ahead ... yeah I know lame of me to laugh but whatever XD )since I will be very busy ... and it's cheaper and more efficient that I make as many as possible while I'm still in Malaysia (mum's sewing machine from the 80s ... very useful)

I mean seriously you can;t compare the price of fabric with here in Malaysia and in New Zealand. For example my Suiseiseki cosplay cost me NZD200 ... all the fabric I've bought so far for 2 different cosplays RM100 and if the exchange rate is figured in ZOMG so much cheaper HAHAHHA

So what are we doing this year?

1. Kusajishi Yachiru (BLEACH): always wanted to do this character I think she's just way awesome

BTW I have a thing with annoying characters ... well most of them anyways ... they always make an impression on me and theyre almost always my favourite character ... anyways haha moving on

2. Tsukamoto Tenma (School Rumble): Admittedly not my ultimate favourite character from School Rumble but one of the easiest to do and I do like her ... like her even better if she wasn't so ... dense lmao ... but I guess thats her charm hahaha

4. Gothic Lolita ... haha this will be done last lmao ... hopefully I'll have enough time ... which I should since I'm only going back to NZ in february XD just have to get the right design =D

5. Sakura (naruto): Just an excuse to use my pink wig again lmao ... she's my favourite character from Naruto ... though the timeskip version kicks ass XD we'll see =D

Tenma's pleated skirt must be remade ... or modified ... depending on when I can get more red fabric AAAAAA I NEED A PLEATED SKIRT PATTERN T.T oh well ... wait till next week when I have my driving test ... most probably stay in Kinokuniya for a while reading Northern Lights ... may be a possibility of me buying it ... but most likely not ... need money for mroe fabric, shoes, dentist (I had braces ... retainer check) and what other miscellaneous things. I seriously don't want to resort to my credit card (stupid transaction fees XP)

15 December 2007 at the Singapore Expo Centre, Singapore, the EOY 2007 (I assume EOY stands for Event of the Year ... but cannot be bothered to check XD )

Anyways this day was assume, as usual I cosplayed, Suiseiseki, the only cosplay costume I have anyways hahahaha and met up with my good friend LPCDragonslayer. For the first hour or so it consisted of raiding all the stalls and stealing all the pretty boys (ie Byakyuya, Renji, Shuhei, Gin, Evil Aizen, Kira-Kun [*cough*SUPERUKE*cough*]) hahaha although I was impartial to Yachiru and Zaraki as well kukuku. Tried to persuade her to get Kurotsuchi Mayuri as well but ... to no avail XD.
But Nanao-Chan and Kon(we have alot of Kon XD ) was also taken for That_Indian_Guy.

By the way, cosplay was crazy. There were 6 Konata (Lucky Star) and at least 3 or 4 Sasuke's which I conveniently forgot to take pictures of HAHAHAHAHA sorry That_Indian_Guy XD and two Ouran High Host Club groups, as well as an entire cast from Trinity Blood (those costumes were OMFG awesome they pawned everything else literally XD )
